Submit later- The Villain’s Last Poem

I was a daughter who never knew how to stay,
A sister lost, falling short in every way.
I held promises in hands that cracked with guilt,
Woven in lies, in every word built.

I learned to smile through a mouth full of ash,
A friend to none, though I tried to crash.
The soul I gave them, they never wanted
A shadow too heavy, always haunted.

I was the silence when they needed sound,
The storm that broke before I hit the ground.
Every step I took was marked in shame,
A failure etched in an unforgiving name.

So here I stand, empty of grace,
A villain made, erased by their face.
